Ruston, with its close-knit community of just under 22,000, radiates charm and warmth in North Louisiana’s Lincoln Parish. Located on 10 acres of Lincoln Parish Park, the Lincoln Parish Archery Range is equipped with life-size animal targets, making it the perfect practice hub for bow hunters across North Louisiana.
Louisiana Tech University, a national research university founded in 1894, dominates the city of Ruston, providing the city with its distinctive college town character. Louisiana Tech’s enrollment adds over 10,000 students to Ruston’s economy. Grambling State University, founded in 1901, is located in nearby Grambling, only four miles west of the Louisiana Tech campus. With its close proximity, Grambling’s enrollment of over 5,000 students serves as an economic benefit for Ruston as well.
In addition to the economic benefits of two universities, another Lincoln Parish gem is its Squire Creek Country Club, a private country club located in nearby Choudrant. It features an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Tom Fazio and is one of the best golf courses in the South.
